Happiness is…. continued
There are lots of ways to help ensure our happiness is…. continued. Here are some more ideas that have occurred to me.
Find someone to love, who loves you unconditionally. You don’t have to find your soul mate, or find a partner for life, to be happy. It is enough that you can connect with someone who allows you – even, who encourages you – to be fully yourself, and who accepts you as you are.
Eating good food. This can be simply a matter of finding a nice plate, putting lots of different things on it, blessing it, and eating slowly, taking time to taste each mouthful. Slowing down, and taking time to eat well, re-energises our whole life.
Laugh when others expect you to be upset. To demonstrate that you are not bothered by negativity, either choose to ignore it or laugh it away. Do that, and soon, negativity will leave you alone.
Take exercise every day. I used to say, “I’ll swim twice a week….tomorrow, I promise….no, not today…!” I spent a lot of time thinking about going, and worrying that I should, instead of simply getting on with it. Now, I decide and simply go and do, because I know I’ll feel better afterwards.
Get outside at least once a day.
Give your worries over to the angels for a while, knowing that all surrender is beneficial, to allow the real best outcomes to surface and work around you more easily.
You can find more tips for happiness in my latest book, Happiness Matters, which is full of tried and tested ideas for allowing more happiness into our lives. It is available from Amazon, Waterstones and all good retailers.
Thanks so much for reading.

Good tips, Fran, especially the exercise one. When I’m busy, it’s easy to forget to get out and get active!

Thanks for your comment, Val. 🙂 It really doesn’t take long to get some exercise, and I feel so good afterwards. (No matter how pie splat the day turns out, if I exercise, I can always feel happy that I’ve done something good.) Take care! xxx

Hmmm…’pie splat’? 🙂 I also feel best when I’ve exercised, even though I haven’t accomplished all the items on my list. Besides, I sleep better….zzzzzzzzz

I recon that we are doing well if we manage to get through about a third of what is on our list: A third to do, a third which will sort themselves out, a third which can either wait til tomorrow – like a handful of starter dough – or are not our problem. 🙂 Have a wonderful day. xxxx
